HSSEQ (Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality) is a collective term used to describe all systems, policies, and procedures related to:

  • Health: Protecting the wellbeing of crew members and shore personnel.
  • Safety: Preventing accidents, injuries, and damage to vessels, cargo, or equipment.
  • Security: Protecting ships, ports, and personnel from unlawful acts (e.g., piracy, terrorism, or theft).
  • Environment: Minimizing pollution and ensuring compliance with MARPOL and other environmental regulations.
  • Quality: Maintaining high operational standards and continuous improvement in performance and compliance.
